Renting a bike in Paris was one of the best ways to go about seeing the beautiful city! I highly encourage you to do the same. We shared so many great memories, and some silly moments just lounging and tumbling around on the terrace. It's hard to believe it's already been over a year. Paris makes for a nice backdrop ;) and there is plenty to see. Bikes are easy to get around with, and you don't have to deal with public transportation, which can be aggravating! I hope you enjoy this video. I'll be sharing more of these to come with different cities I have visited. Any unique suggestions for new destinations? Let me know your thoughts. Don't forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel to stay updated! I look forward to making more of these :) <3

You may think I'm biased, and I do have my reasons. Apart from living in France, I have to stay that this country as a whole has a lot to offer. I found France to be especially unique to do to how small the country is and how diverse of a landscape it has. France has everything from the tropics, to mountains, to the country side, to steep hills, oceans, and cliffs, and even the world's capital of fashion & gastronome. I highly advise you to travel into smaller villages to really get a great feel for the people and culture. I think that one of my favorite things to do was to get lost in the everyday life. I was living in the Rhone Alps and I'd hike up a mountain that I lived on each day. On my way down I'd pass the boulangerie, boucherie and small boutiques, people would greet me with a smile and life felt so natural. Everyday felt as if I were in an enchanted film, I know that people have their stereotype of the French, but I think it's only because they assume that all French are like the Parisians...and a Parisian can be compared to a New Yorker, and that's all I have to say about that.
A few of my favorite cities include:
I have so much more to explore, I have only begun to discover France, really. Do you have any highly recommended places for me to visit in France? Sometimes I am forgetful, and I am sure there are so many things I can't exactly remember or put into words right now, but I am always looking for new destinations, and I regard word of mouth recommendations highly! Please comment below if you have any suggestions or questions. Traveling started at a young age for me, and it was not something I had planned on. Imagine yourself at the age of seven, embarking on a journey to a country you have never heard of, a place you've never seen, a language you have never spoken. Yes, this was me, a clueless, afraid, but enticed soul..with a weeks notice I was jetting off to a new land, and I would forever be changed. I traveled across the world from Russia to the America, hopping from one side of the world to the other to a place that I now call home. I've lived in the USA for the majority of my life, but I find inspiration from all over the world. You see, had I not been adopted...I am not sure I would have seen what this world is made of. I've had an incredible journey, I must add. I have always been a pretty curious being. "WHY" and "WHY Not?" are a few of my my favorite words, and a few of my favorite ways of getting more out of life. I just blame it on on my Russian heritage. It's not all bad to be curious you see, these small wonders have allowed me to see other cultures, countries, and even speak different languages, the deep desire to learn more has given me a new perspective and I've really developed an affinity for the unknown. It was a dangerous thing for me to be thrown into a foreign environment, but I have a lot to be thankful for. Ever since that moment, I have never wanted to sit still or be in one place. I'm glad I am addicted to something so enriching. Traveling is a real high, yes, I've done it. It's amazing! I love the challenge of living in a foreign place, not knowing what to expect, but whatever it is you know it will be different, unique, unknown. Heck, you don't have to go far to discover something new! Traveling opens your mind, expands your horizons, and it enhances your capacity to simply "be". To be understanding, to be loving, to be patient, to be YOU. The French have this saying, "La joie de vivre"...joy of life. It's simple. Life is short, and I don't think anything has brought me more joy than the experiences I've made. I say made because it's a choice. It's your choice to go out, set out, and do. Life is short, may as well make it worth worth the while! What inspires you? Do you have a place you want to see? Follow me to learn more about the different locations I've visited. |
